If you haven't already checked out the Maine based media hub The Entertainment Experiment, you should. It's by far the leading source for Maine based video productions on the web.
We are honored to have a short horror favorite of ours screening on their Casting Shadows channel. Check out Mint Films' "A Bell In The Yard". Still of the day from the Year-round Metal Enjoyment edits. RICH on electric nights."Some nights are just electric, and that never goes away for anyone who even remotely likes doing graffiti writing." Summer always proves to be the busiest of seasons. Between work, travel, production and general life in the sun, there isn't much room left for slaving away on the computer.
We plan to send gifts out to those who donated to our Year-round Metal Enjoyment fundraiser this fall. So much thanks to all of those who gave to the cause, you are the enablers of these projects. We are also very excited to have a new music video wrapped and in postproduction, featuring Jesse Pilgrim & The Bonfire of Maine. Stay tuned. In-between all of this, we've tried to photograph as much as possible. Here are a few... We are proud to announce that our short thriller gem TELEPHOTO has officially been selected to screen at the Woods Hole Film Festival this summer! The event runs from July 27th through August 3rd and would be a great excuse for a summer road trip. For more information on the event and screening times check out the WHFF website. We have officially gone LIVE with our full length trailer and post-production fundraising campaign for Year-round Metal Enjoyment. You can see the trailer above and help us finish the project by going to our Indiegogo page here. Be sure to check out the donation gifts!
Recently, composer Andy Barbo of Mint Films has posted many of his musical scores featured in a slew of Mint Films shorts. You can hear them here as well as download them for your own collection, for free.
Felt it was necessary to share these films after seeing them on the circuit last month.
The Kill Team simply blew me away. A very important and informative film and with everything happening in the world today it is truly something everyone should experience. Who is Dayani Cristal? is equally as illuminating and an important insight into the world of a boarder crossing immigrant. A bit on the lighter side, Bending Steel is a compelling tale of a coy New Yorker striving to hone the strength and showmanship of the iconic vaudeville Strong Man. A classic. |
