Our friends over at SoundLight Media put together these beautiful shorts from India. They were produced for Company C, based in Maine. Awesome.

Adopting the idea of posting a "Still from today's edits" by our good friend David Meiklejohn at Budget Fabulous Films. Here's our first...
It's about time Telephoto got a chance outside of Maine. We've sent 'er out to a handful of film festivals in the Northeast and Midwest. Keep your fingers crossed!
Mint Film's very own Charles P-Funk Newts' mug may have popped up on your Vimeo's Staff Pick feed this past weekend with a new gem starring none other than Mr. Newton, produced by Nicholas Santos. Check out the charming short here.
Be In Love is an original track by Portland's Dominic Lavoie, but is performed in this video by a slew of talented Portland musicians. Maine Academy of Modern Music (MAMM) joined forces with students, local filmakers, and musical hometown heros to celebrate "Playing for Change, Playing for Maine"—a series of local concerts used to raise awareness about the value of music in the lives of young people. Props to my man David Meiklejohn for producing such a stellar video. Mint Films was proud to be involved. For more information, please check out MAMM! The last month has been filled with flights, train rides and road trips—some planned, some not so. In-between these adventures various commissioned work and personal projects have been checked off the seemingly endless list of To-Do's. Below are some photos of my adventures North, South, and West.
In other video news, I was psyched to learn that this year's Damnationland will be screened at the State Theater! Wicked cool, get your tickets soon. Also, Year-Round Metal Enjoyment is nearly done with production and soon to hit the cutting room. Hope to have an extended trailer out soon. Stay tuned. The latest drop from 2 guys 1 vespa and my man Charles Parker Newton is dirtier then the underside of Julia Childs fingernails. A fresh twist on a Jay-Z/Kanye West track with more spice for your face buds. Check out Grillin' NYC... BAM! Sara Hallie Richardson's What Would It Be Like official music video is now live! There were a lot of firsts for us on this one—really pleased with the outcome. Cheers to a solid cast & crew. You can listen to more Sara here. I made a visit up to my good friend Jesse Pilgrims cabin last night. Dude lives in a beautiful corner of West Bath, in a super rad pad, surrounded by vintage bicycles and musical instruments. It was my first time visiting and a pleasure meeting some of the family kicking it around the infamous "barn of cycles". It reminded me of a music video we shot together on a road trip through Aroostook County some years ago. Brings back some nice memories with good friends. Jesse is also the musical artist on the most recent Mint Films television spot for Goodwill of Northern New England. I have yet to see it myself on the tube, but rumor has it she's gotten some play between Olympic events! |
